To add to the security of my car, if I remove to fuse to the Ignition, can the car still be started? To be more exact, can it be hot wired? Thanks.

Although anything is possible if they want it bad enough, if you remove the 30A fuse in the engine bay fusebox labeled "IGN. SW" AND the 20A fuse there labeled "ENGINE", it would make it more difficult to hot wire from inside the car without wiring knowledge, tearing the radio console apart (to get at MFI and FP relays and ECU there), and jumpering the proper wires since those fuses supply power to the ignition key and the MFI system. Of course you could always just remove the battery or put a steering wheel lock bar on (which might be more effective since they can see it and not destroy things before finding it's too hard to hot wire). Kind of depends on how long you plan on leaving it unattended, how difficult you want to make it for them, and how difficult for you to re-instate it. If you are leaving it a long time, you could also disconnect things that are not easy to notice like the coils or power transistor (or even the fuel pump under the rear seat).

Just get good insurance and lock it up tight. If they break in and can't steal it they will probally smash the hell out of it. Put it in one of those storage units if your leaving it for a while. Also, if your planning on pulling the fuse constantly then the contacts will wear out.

You should wire in a fuel cut off switch (kill switch) or a starter kill switch or both.
