Alright so I just purchased this 97 gst spyder and im having issues with the headlights. It seems like there is a jumper wire from the left headlight wires to the right headlight wires. Im not sure why its there, when I take it off the headlights dont work. I checked all the fuses and they are good (under hood and interior driverside) not sure if there are other fuses somewhere else. But Even when the jumper cable is on and i plug in my new hid kit, they dont work. when I put the stock bulbs in, the work. I know for a fact the hids work because i tested them in another car. Help guys I am really confused.

If it's the 18 gauge red wire (not the 14 gauge red with blue stripe) on the LF, it connects the LF high beam negative to the RF high beam negative (and then becomes a 14 gauge red that goes to the column hi/low switch). The RF may already be 14 gauge red depending on where it connects.

well no its just a home made wire that someone installed before I got the car. It simply goes from the driver side low beam harness to the passenger side high beam harness.
