i was going to buy a big 16 g turbo to upgrade my stock 96 gst this is just the turbo nothing else what all do i need to get to install it or can i use my stock set up

Grammar!?!

With a b16g, you should have at least a fuel pump rewire as long as you keep boost low. If you decide to up the boost, you should get at least a set of 550cc injectors and an afc to control them. A walbro 190 would also be a good investment when raising the boost.

And this has been discussed numerous times before. So far, your not making a very good impression. I suggest you read over the rules and the stickies in the newbie forum.

You'll need a 2g install kit to bolt the 16g on your 2g. Check the link below:

Road Race Engineering is one of the supporting vendors that sells 2g 16g install kits or you can purchase the parts individually. As 92awddsm stated, you need supporting mods in order to handle the upgraded turbo and remember to set the boost to a low setting until you get the support mods. I recommend that you get a data logger. You won't be able to get much in terms of benefits from any turbo upgrade without the proper supporting mods.

I was hoping he would run across the proper mod path while searching the newbie forum. If you spoon feed him forever, he will never learn.

I only gave him a link to a 2g install kit. Is that really "spoon feeding"? I also told him about getting the proper supporting mods, but didn't list what they are (except for the logger). We were all once new to DSMs. I'm just trying to be friendly and helpful. My previous advice serves as guidance for him along with him searching on his own. The rest of the info he can search to find out.
