Hey guys..ive been searching, reading, searching and more reading about tuning for the car I just picked up....Im still learning a lot daily about this car. But, the tuning aspect has got me lost due to too many tuning ways this damn car has!!!

Ive been into srt4s for the past couple of years....Picked this car up because I got a great price on it.

My main issue is what to use for tuning. I searched and learned that I guess I Can not Use the SAFC for tuning if I have injectors over 650cc correct??

But, before this I thought going the pocketLogger way was best due to already having an Safc and wideband. But then, I found out that I can tune the Eprom that came with my car....and I looked at the DSMlink and it was something that was very solid looking and a ton of ppl liked it on here.

So, im at a loss!!! I had made up my mind and just downloading the pocketlogger software and puttin it on my pda but then again I have 880cc injectors!

I have an idea that I should just take off the SAFC and buy me a dsmlink?? or is it possible another way with the electronics and modifications on the car already.

PS - And I am still searching and learning as we speak...Trying hard to catch up on how to know exactly what is on my car and how everything works. Thanks guys.

You already have a stage 3 chip and as long as you know that the chip was burnt for the 880's, you can just use the SAFC to fine tune, the limitation for the SAFC is only if you didn't have the chip and using solely the SAFC for tuning. The only thing you'll need is logging software, you can use either the pocketlogger (if it's free) or mmcd (free).

DSMLink is a great option, lots of use it, very user friendly ever for a first time tunner (I was new to tuning when I bought it & picked it up no problem), plus you have access to the DSMLink forums where there's lots of tuning info & people that can help you out if you do have an issue.

You are correct that you don't want to use a piggyback system such as an SAFC on injectors larger then 650-680cc, it will make timing much harder as your timing advance will be too high from having to compensate so much for the injectors. The way around this is with an eprom ecu/ chip, which looks like you already have. You can get a chip burnt that will have the compensation built in for the 880 injectors, so you won't have a crazy timing curve & then you just use the SAFC to fine tune for your perticular setup, air/fuel ratio, etc. A bunch of the features of DSMLink can be programmed into your eprom chip but DSMLink is still much nicer with the ability to adjust timing where ever it needs it, on the fly. Plus with datalogging & adjustable tuning all built into the same package it makes things about as simple as they can get.

Yes, it is burnt for the 880s....

Thanks guys. Ill go with the SAFC, MMCD, wideband...etc for tuning for now. Perhaps the DSMlink later on if I feel I need it.

Few more questions guys.

As from my mod list...it says GT35r for the turbo. Wondering what the max boost I can run with the mentioned engine modifications?

Also, the car runs Low(20psi) and high(26psi) Do you think this is good enough for boost control or should I either by a MBC or EBC??

**Lastly...anyone know a good shop where I can have my turbo rebuilt?? It is smoking a bit/burning oil.
