non turbo intake

i just traded my hardbody and $300 for a 92 NT 4g63 talon and it came with no air intake box so i currently have the filter duct taped to the intake piping which is pretty freaking ghetto. Anyways i was looking for intakes for NTs and could not find one on any respectable sites so i resorted to searching ebay. I found some but none of them looked like they matched up to the MAF sensor. So i was wondering do i have to have the MAF hooked up (which i am pretty sure i do) and if i do what should i do for an intake?

Yes, you need to keep you MAF, unless you do a Maf-t on an n/a car, Best intake you can get is a factory turbo setup. It wouldn't cost very much, you could get the whole deal for less than 400, and be a lot happier.

I got a 14b and an exhaust manifold with the car but i don't want to install untill i know how well the car runs.

Well, just skip the whole intake thing and save your money. That hacked intake you have will be sufficent. No need to buy something you can't reuse, right?
