Datalogging question.

I just made a 3rd gear pull while data logging and I am only seeing 69% throttle with my foot on the floor. Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this? I tried to adjust the throttle cable but that didn't help at all.

First off.....

1. Have someone sit in the car and hold the throttle to the floor. Look in the engine bay and see if you can rotate the throttle butterfly any more. If you cant, the you may have a faulty tps sensor. If the tps sensor is bad, it could be showing the ecu that your going 69% throttle but your actually at 100%, you could lean out the car badly. Im not 100% sure if thats how it works exactly, but that is just my thought.

2. Are you running cruise control?

If your TB is opening up all the way. The TPS needs to be adjusted. Loosen the TPS screws holding it in place and rotate it until you get the proper reading from your data logger.

What does your TPS read at idle?

Mine is usually around 12% or so @ idle. Leave the car off (ign. on) and just twist the throttle plate deal attached to the cable all the way open - it should end up around high 90's% (100% ideally) . You can check your TPS voltage/ohms (forget the #'s - sorry) if you think it might be bad. Here is some more info: http://90gsx.com/eclipse/tps/tps.jpg
