ok i got a pretty bad leak from the turbo oil return line(where it meets oil pan) and was wondering do those even go bad or is it just the gasket.

anyways can i just clean it off good and use some sealant (what kind?)or do i need a new return line cause they're hard ass hell to find and quite pricy

thanks in advance

It is probably just the gasket. You should replace it and you should also get new crush washers for the bolts when you change it or the problem will just happen again.

Another comment, I would like to add. The oil return lines sometimes don't like to play nice and go on without some strong encouragment. If your force it, you could cross-thread the oil pan. If you do this (as I did). You can't repair the threads, you must get a new oil pan. One of the garage hands on post, suggested using a nut and bolt, thats a bad idea. Next time you take it off the oil return line that bolt will fall in the oil pan and you will have to remove it and fish it out. It's a smarter idea to just replace the oil pan.
