Hey guys whats going on, I have a few questions about my fuel mods, I currently have a small 16g on my car with no fuel mods at 14 to 15 psi I am like a week or two away from buying injectors and a fuel pump the problem is that I will be getting a bigger turbo by the end of the year and I plan on geting an evo III ( I hear nothing but good things about this turbo) I plan on putting down anything from 350 to 380 hp, My question is, is 650's injectors, 255 fuel pump, fpr, safc2 enough for fuel mods, I knkow I will need other things down the road I also plan on doing maft set up down the road and short pipe routing and stuff like that but for fuel mods is that enough? also what can you guys tell me about this turbo?

ROFL LOL wow. I have the exact same question. :tease:

Except I actually did buy this turbo, although it's not installed yet (car is still in the shop getting a built 7-bolt put in :D ). I got my V-Trim for $600 from Wayne at http://www.performancedsm.com/

I was also thinking about injectors and I figure I'd go with FIC 850 's which cost only $5 more than the FIC 650's. JNZ Tuning has an October Special (see below):

They also have a special on DSMLink if you don't already have it.

With regards to the turbo, according to SBR, the MHI E316G is supposed to be able to deliver more power faster.

If you want to see some opinions on the V-Trim check out this thread:

Sorry I can't give you first hand experience answer, but I thought it was funny when I stumbled on this thread and I had to respond. If you have the time to wait until all my stuff is installed then I can give you an answer. :sneaky: :p

Cheers, Tom.

Realistically your going to need a bigger turbo and most likely more fuel to make that kind of efficient power, that mei would ans head work, cams, alot of fine tuning and so on. I would go with something bigger, i had an evo 3 and just installed my bullseye 50 trim and i regret everyday not doing the swap sooner. As far as fuel goes, i would get 720's, a 255lph pump, a fuel pressure regulator, and DSMlink. Maybe even get a nice fuel rail.

Fuel rail isn't needed. 650's are good enough for the EVOIII 16G, even though you can tune it with SAFC, it would be a safer bet to get a CHIP and SAFC or just get DSMLINK (both can get spendy).

Don't forget your rewire its very easy to do... just make sure you get a good ground point. Sand, grind, whatever your ground point till you see the shiney metal for a good connections.

Also, 14-15 psi on the small 16g is pushing your luck on the stock system.

Lastly, I hope you plan on a new clutch before you install the new turbo, otherwise you'll be needing it aftwards and it won't be broken in for some time after you install the turbo.

380whp on a E316G is going to be enough of a challenge, it has been done, but it I think you would be better off with a larger turbo to get the "work" done much easier. I have a SBR-G50 50 trim and it feels much better than my e3 did, and it cost me a whopping $600 new and comes with a warranty. I'm running 650cc's with my 50 and at 20psi at 85% IDC. (11:1afr)
