Hello all of you DSM Tuners.
I´ve just registered to dsmtuners.com and searched a place for this thread, if this is a wrong place I´d ask admin to move this where it belongs.
I am a member of a Finnish DSM club (www.dsmclubfinland.com) And i have there my project diary that i have been updating very much, and have had some good feedback also.
I just thought to share my project tale in a national forum too
if you don´t mind
So, It all began last april.
I took everything off exept engine and electrics.
All parts of chassis were removed, sandblasted and painted with rust protection paint.
at same time i removed all bushings, and replaced them with extreme suspensions polyurethane bushings.
Also all brake calibers I repaired with certain repair kits and replaced brake pads with new ones.
all ball joints, tie rods and stabilizer bar rods were replaced. umm and front wheel bearings too
The original suspension I replaced with D2 Coilover kit that has turned out to be an extraordinary kit.
I also bought oxigin eins 18"rims with bf Goodrich tires on from a recent dsmcf member
The body has had all new shape too. i have shaved all lists and rear spoiler and replaced it with a Shogun spoiler without that upper stage (my bad English )
Also I bought a dragon-z body kit from www.nippontuning.com in Germany (I had to wait 2months first bombing with mails)
I also did paint job for my car and it turned put pretty good for a first painjobs ever
my friend made some airbrush art for me too www.customink.fi (in Finnish)
The interior is pretty much the original one just with new surface layers. I have made some leather works and my friend made awesome fleecing job with black and white fleece (don´t know if fleece is the right word).
I had ride on wheels at the end of july.
for one weeks it was all right and then the gearbox went loose and from there on it had given from clutch to flywheel hard impacts and results of that it brake cranckshafts bearings
So now we are making the 4g63+4g64 destroke engine so it´s to come 2.4l 16v engine with some nice things in it.
I have also decided to make base job again for body, and paint it first silver then some horse theme paintings in middle layer and before clearcoat i thaught to spray candy apple red and clear coat
the middle line is to become surfaced with black synthetic leather, don´t ask why
