i have a blown 90 awd tranny, i have a 6-4 combo which needs a tranny, 6-bolt is out of the 90 also, should i spend the 1350 dollars to fix my old tranny, or should i spend 2400 dollars and get the shep stage 1????

I plan on driving it pretty hard, Launching, etc...:talon: thanks

Thats obvious get teh shep stage 1 My friend has one in his 95 gsx and it took abuse the stock trans wont' take many lauches it'll grenade if you truely intend to drive it hard don't consider a stock trans youll keep wasteing money. Just my opinion.

I went with a tre stage 3 tranny with shotpeening, steel shift rails, HD intermediate shaft and 16% taller fifth gear for $2185.00. John from tre was very informative and for the money i spent i think i got the most options. My car is a fwd however so I dont know if that matters as far as pricing etc. I have been driving on the tranny for the past weekend and the last few days and the more i drive the better it shifts. I can really feel the difference and the 5th gear is very nice. I would research tre, shep and jacks transmissions as they all make high quality transmissions just depends on what you want.

ALL 3 are very good candidates Just figered he was only choosing between shep and stock.... I should think.

there is a new variable now though, a used awd tranny great condition, i know the guy, he is who i bought my shell from, he wants 450 for it, should i get it or shep stage 1,
also i was wondering if a stage 1 rebuild for 945 on tob of the 450 is worth it
thanks guys:talon:
