any recommendations? i'm having trouble finding some on google. the ones i found are towing services. i'm possibly looking into a supra smic, 1g bov, maybe a workin power antenna, radio unit, new mounts for the sunroof (the thing pops up at 70 mph), maybe a new bumper and transfer case since mine is leaking. what are my chances of finding some aftermarket stuff in the yards as well? anything specific i should bring? box of socket wrenches? screwdrivers of all kinds? also call me crazy and don't ask, but acid was spilled on my windshield so now it's cloudy. would i be able to find a windshield that can fit or do they just trashed them?

Wow another Piscataway guy, what are the chances haha. There is a junkyard here down on mountain avenue (Absolute Auto) they have some decent stuff there and aren't to expensive. I'm not sure what they have in the way of 2g parts as I look at 1g's myself. As far as a windshield goes, you have to pull it yourself. From experience it's very hard to do without cracking it, and even if you do crack it you still have to pay for it. As far as aftermarket parts go, chances are most people have gone through and pulled them already. For tools, anything that holds the parts your looking for bring. Mostly sockets/wrenches a good set of screwdrivers - possibly even a pry bar.

10 12 14 and 17mm sockets, screw drivers, PB Blaster, a breaker bar, hammer, patience and some good luck. I have used GI's auto salvage a few times its in Montville or Pine Brook cant remember they are right next to each other but it is on New Rd. Dont know what they have on the way of 2g's then there is Cobra and AA autowreckers on Parsippany rd in Whippany. Again I dont know what they have in the way of 2gs give them a call.
