Hi

My mechanic says my carrier bearings are shot so I was wondering how much should I pay for two new ones? I also read about the caulk fix...does it last? My car vibrates when I drive it so is this more about the rubber part or the actual steel bearing?

Im also need to get two new front axles. My car is only lightly modified. Its running about 16 psi on the stock turbo. Would a remanufactured CV hold up or do I need to upgrade to something like a raxles cv? Thanks for your help.

Dont pay the dealer a penny to replace your carrier bearings. They will charge you $90- 110 dollars a bearing and like 2-3 hours labor which is around $90.00 a hour. U can buy the carrier bearings from J&Z Tuning for $ 50-55 dollars. Go to Vfaq and print out carrier bearing install, its real easy job. You might as well replace your tranfer case seal and yoke while you have the drive shaft off, if you have not done so already. The silicone fix didnt work for me mine were to far gone. And as far as your front axles go to raxles and get brand new not rebuilt.:thumb:

thanks...I went to google to find J&Z tuning but I didnt find any reference to it. Do you mind giving me the url or phone number so I can contact them?
