Fuel Pump Gasket

This weekend we put a Walbro in my 2g awd. Couldnt get the big rubber fuel pump sender gasket back in the tank or on the tank in any way.

Running without it, it reaks like gas in the car.


Does anywhere know where I could buy another one of these/how to install it properly?

When I did my fuel pump, I had a little bit of trouble with that gasket too. I just used a little bit of lube and it was no problem.

Yeah the only gasket they list is Gasket - 2wd - 2wd 95-99 $8.72, I don't think its the same. Did you put the gasket around the inside lip of the tank or around the sender? i just dont see how it would fit in there mine was way too big in diameter.

Oh sorry about that I didn't even notice. When I did mine I put it around the sender with a little lube around the ring and it slid into place on the tank. Just make sure it doesn't get caught up anywhere.

ok i think ill try it again and if that doesnt work maybe just rtv the crap out of it
