My car sounds like it has a slight knock when the clutch is out but when i push it in it stops, Does anyone have any ideas what it can be?

Thanks
Chris

Throw-out bearing for the trans....It hooks onto the clutch fork to press the pressure plate in to release the clutch. It has no pressure on it when the clutch is disengaged so if its going "bad" it will chatter and when the clutch pedel is down it smashes it on the pressure plate which stops the rattling chatter

Should i fix it or just wait until i need a new clutch?

I searched around many sites and one suggested I change my tranny fluid.

I did just that with Royal Purple Synchromax:thumb: I wish my STI and Sienna AWD could use this stuff.

Wow, it's a miracle oil, the noise went away and the notchiness did too.

5K miles so far and all is still good. Give it a shot.
