My T-25 is just about shot. It has shaft play from side to side bad, no in and out tho. So i told my g/f and ahah yes it's a dsm tuners dream she has bought me a Big16g Ported inlet and outlet and the bigger fan MHI turbo from slowboys!!! Anyways problem is i have a few small mods but nothing major and i want to atleast a decent gain over stock. (i'm talking maybe 10hp) without going lean. On the otherhand i'm not trying to kill the engine so i'm just looking for a figure or ballpark guess if anyone is running this turbo on stock fuel mods then fire away! I'm going to rewire the fuel pump this weekend. mods go as follows - K&N filter, Greddy 18 row fmic, cat back HKS exhaust, and a generic mbc. She said the turbo will be in by next weekend so woo!! any help at all will be appreciated thanks guys!

First off i noticed when you listed your mods you did not list an after market boost gauge. I would invest in one if you have not already, becasue factory gauge works for shit.

Now that being said, the only way to be sure how much is a safe amount of boost would be to moniter knock and turn up from there. Generaly speaking a stock fuel system on a t-25 can handle around 13-15psi +/- 1psi or 2. But one thing you need to take into consideration is that the 16 will flow alot more than the t-25. So it will need more fuel then the t-25 would at any given psi.

So i would suggest turning down to around maybe 12-13psi to be safe untill you get fuel mods or a way to moniter knock(ie logger, link).

And as for your question about power gains you will notice a a differnce even at lower boost levels compaired to the t-25 with the 16g. Especially at higher rpms you will be able to feel the difference in the way it pulls.

sorry, i didn't really think of the gauge being a mod but yea i have a autometer boost gauge. Thanks for the help that really made a diffrence! my next question on this term is could i use an apexi afc neo instead of the logger or would it be more safe to have them both, i'm asking because why would i buy the logger if i could read everything from the neo? ...btw it's not like i have alot of money it's just the fact i'm willing to save my pennies to afford something nice rather than sink it into a bunch of things! thanks again to anyone who can help

I would still reccomend the logger. Sometimes its kinda hard to drive and watch a screen, plus you can save the info for later review. usually loggers allow you to view more sensors than an afc will, though I am not familiar with the neo.:talon:

yeah.. get the logger and use that.. because you can log by yourself, then pull over, adjust, then log again... its very handy... then, if you really want to get the most out of that turbo, bigger injectors (at least 550) and a 255 lph fuel pump.. but if you get the 155 pump instead of the 190, then you NEED to have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, because a 255 will overrun the stock one..

It all depends on how much power you want to make.. but just watch for knock... cracked ring landings suck.....
