So, I have a problem with my rotors rattling. Every bump I hit they rattle, they sound like a bunch of plates rattling. Its so annoying I have put on 2 different sets of rims and tires and they still rattle. Is there a fix?

And how about 1g wing rattle? How can I stop that too.

When you take a turn does is make a loud noise? I'm thinking its your wheel bearings could be going bad, or your cotter pin is lose/and or gone. I don't know if DSM's have serviceable wheel bearing, AWD's I would imagine would be factory sealed, and I would imagine FWD would have serviceable rear axle wheel bearings. Anyway check them out!!!:thumb:

With the noise you described I am wondering if you used the shims on the rear caliper brackets...

Take the wheels off and be sure the caliper brackets are tight.

See if there are shims between the pads and the caliper bracket. I am willing to bet that you can wiggle the pads around in the bracket and that is where your noise is coming from.

For the wing rattle, you can remove the spoiler and see if the brackets are intact and not loose/rusted out underneath. If all is tight then I would lay down some strips of adhesive backed weather stripping, reinstall and see where that got you.

Check to see if you have the rear hardware installed. :thumb:
Without the rear hardware the pads can rattle around and make noise.

I know for sure its my brake assembly....its not my wheel bearing/missing cotter pin I recently swapped my clutch and checked everything out...also when im rolling backwards if i tap my brakes I can make the caliper slap the rotor and it rattles....(plates banging together) or when im going over something bumpy and its rattling if i apply alittle break pressure the rattle goes away. But when I pull my tires and tighten everything down...the rattle will go away for a day or two then start up again.
