Fuel Tank Plate Studs

Heya guys,
Wrapping up the loose ends on my restoration project.

I ran into a problem though, the used gas tank I purchased has 3 of the 6 studs broken off. What can I do to remedy the problem? Id like to be able to remove the fuel pump plate down the road without worrying about the tank not being sealed tightly.

Three of mine are sheared too. Do a search here, there are several topics about it. From what I've seen, there's really no simple way to go about it, considering it's the gas tank we're dealing with. But basically you'd need to remove the old studs and put new ones in.

Studs or bolts... Im pretty sure the plate is actually welded onto the gas tank, and the studs or bolts were set in place before the welding process, therefore there is a hollow space between the two plates. you wot be able to get a stud to grab onto anything as far as I know.
