your missing the j-pipe for your bov

i have the j pipe(adapter) for the BOV, in that ebay post it doesnt come with it, but i have it. im just asking what else do i need? or can someone tell me which pipe goes where? thanks
-shane

I bought the same kit once. None of the piping is useable. It also felt very thin and cheap. It may not be the same for sure but if not, that piping doesn't look like it has a snowball's chance in hell in fitting.

so what did you do?

Likely bought a new piping kit. I would. Actually, I'd probably buy a new core too, honestly. :b
Problem is, when you go on the cheap, you get what you pay for (exceptions for the SSAC kit, and a couple other proven cheapie routes).

Honestly, gotta say... any eBay ad that lists '+10-20hp' for being made out of aluminum, and '30psi 400hp' in the description, I'd give a whole lot of second thought.

good to know. i bought it back in feb when i was a newbie newb........=/

Live and learn. Personally I'd try to sell off the core to someone else at a loss, if you can't sell off the kit in entirety, and just shell out for the SSAC kit. It's really not worth the time and headache to modify what you've got into usability, when you can get a decent FMIC setup that's proven itself across the community for under $300.

do you think you can link me to a good fmic for that price?

I made my intercooler setup, from my experience (already having greddy UICP) it's really not as inexpensive as you might think. The intercooler components in total cost me around 500 bucks (450 if you have a t-25 or stocklike turbo due to not needing J-pipe). I bought a set of randomly bent and straight aluminum piping that came with heavy duty clamps and couplers on ebay for 200 bucks, the intercooler itself costs 250 (bought the largest unit from johnny racecar). Sure it was a learning experience and its cool to show that my setup is homemade, but typcially when getting a new intercooler "you get what you pay for" like talesin said.

so i have the UICP, 14b, j pipe, and i have the core, now your saying that i can mount the core, and then figure out from there what pipes i need to make it work?

That is exactly what he's saying. This way you can customize too, and so long as they sent you the silicone couplers (which are expensive) just buy some 2 1/2" aluminum piping. Look at some pictures from ets or punishment and see what you need. You want to even buy some piping of 1 of those companies or if your a do it yourselfer, go to a piping store and have at her.

thanks, so any exhaust place could bend the pipes? and i can get the pipes at like home depot or lowes?

Just do a search for the eBay SS Autochrome FMIC kit. It's ridiculously cheap for 2Gs. Us 1G guys don't have any kind of equivalent... cheapest decent one is the 7" street core kit from Punishment Racing, at $500.

well heres the verdict, i emailed the seller of the item, and he states in all the replies to ME, that this would fit my car, and i told him that it doesnt seem like it can possible work, and he said that he knoes that the 98 and 99 needs another U bend, and i asked him wth. he replied with, its made for the 95-99 eclipse specifically but he doesnt have the diagram, he said take it to a professional. :notgood: , i found his site : http://www.ajpdistributors.com/9596979899mi8.html

Okay, that's some BS. If he said that it came with everything you need to mount it, that doesn't mean 'needs another u-bend'. Also looks like it's supposed to mount up to the stock UICP... guessing that 'extra' u-bend would be a j-pipe to connect it to the stock t25 outlet. Which would explain why it doesn't have a BOV mount.

I'd tell him to go screw himself, then report him to eBay if that's where you picked the kit up. Could be construed as borderline fraud, if the listing doesn't say anything about needing additional parts.

yha he said it was piping meant for the Eclipse 95-99 but then he said a 98 needs another U-bend. he said i need to bring it to a professional to install. now im thinking it is supposed to hook up to the stock UICP. and this one doesnt have the BOV Adapter plate, but i have that piece because its the same kit but it came wit the Adapter. imma take the bumper off and see what it looks like if i try to put it on.

i wouldn't even use this thing, however I get all my silicone couplers from www.siliconeintakes.com, they carry 4 ply couplers which will hold boost in all sorts of angles. If you are hell bent on getting it to fit, I'm sure getting these couplers to get your pipes to fit would be cheaper than getting new piping made.
