front fender removal and srs system

Well my son banged up his 99 eclipse not to badly but I need to replace the passenger front fender. I see how to remove it but Im concerned about the srs sensor. How can I disable the srs system before removing the fender?

Disconnecting the car's battery and let it sit for a few minutes will drain all the power from the SRS circuit.
