i just bought a palm m125 data logger and am not sure how to hook it up. i'm also not sure what if any software i need to log on it i have two cable one has three wires at the end and a serial port at the other end. it also has a dock that has a cable that goes to a usb and i just bought a calbe that is a usb to serial port cause the guy said i needed on. now what am i supposed to do?

1. Do you not have a cable that goes from your PDA to either USB or serial? If not, go back to the person you bought the PDA from.

2. Search the forum or google for "mmcd".

3. What color are the three wires?

4. Seems like your shift key isn't working. ;)

the wires are red green and black and from the port there's a usb and the wire i ordered is a serial to usb and i shift just fine :D

Funny, make sure you use proper punctuation and capitalization so your thread won't get closed. ;)

Looking at the diagnostic plug with two vertical columns, red goes to the top pin on the left column, green and black goes to the bottom and 3rd from the bottom pins on the right column, doesn't matter which is which.

A serial to USB won't do you any good, you're missing the PDA cable that should have been part of the PDA, like this.

Yeah i ordered the wrong part i needed a female usb with a female serial port. So i think i got that out of the way it just has to be in the dock to log which is fine with me.

Don't get me wrong; LOGGING is next to godliness!

But, if your like me; one month of mmcd and you be selling you PC for a laptop and you soul for DSMLink!!!!!:thumb:
Have you actually looked at his car profile? :D On a second thought after reading your profile, why do you have Link? Too much money to blow? :p

Because i like the graph'ie lines and stuff; of coase...

Hey, Oldman; will you help me with a thread I posted yesterday. Its sorta holding me back a bit.

Oh, and I got Link because I needed a new ecu and fuel control. I'd just picked up my 550's and didn't have the means to control them. I didn't like the idea of leaving it to the 2G maf and hope it evens itself out.

I'll have more use for it here soon. I'm holding off on updating my profile until my GSX is up and running. I've added a few thing to it; water/meth injection, wideband, full 3" exhaust, 2600act, walbro255hp, h4 headlights, LSD 3bt (I know... but I could only afford cheap LSD and it was plain 3bt with no rear half shafts when I bought my gsx shell) and some cool red neon lights for my interior floor board. I like to see my feet i guess. It's like driving an airplane.:thumb:

Neither do I but I thinking more of a SAFC since the adjustments will be minimal. I was also only teasing you about DSMLink, it's always a good thing to have link as long as $700 is in your budget. :D

On a side note, you'll need an AFPR for the 255, Link won't help you with FPR overrun. No comment on the neon lights. ROFL
