How can i clean out the gas tank?

I have debris in the the tank and i was wondering how i could clean it out? thx its a 1g FWD

Siphon the fuel, drop the tank, remove the fuel pump assembly. Nice big hole to get your hand in, or to rinse junk out through with the fuel tank off the car entirely. It's not hard to drop/remove the tank... check your Haynes/Chiltons manual (as every DSMer really NEEDS to have one, honestly) for what to unscrew to drop it.

I don't know what type of debris is in your fuel tank. If it is rust, I would recommend taking it to a radiator shop and have them vat it. After it is cleaned you might have to changed the fuel filter.
