I have a 1994 eagle talon it was a 1.8 liter the motor is junk and i was curious what motors will bolt up to the transmission the 2.0? will any other motors fit ?

If you swap in the 2.0 you should probably get the 2.0 tranny while your at it. If your asking this thou, you might want to gain a little more experience before you try an engine swap, imo.

WTH? Im asking what engines will fit im not asking how to do an engine swap ### read my post carefuly..i am just curious what engines fit meaning will a 4g63 2.0 fit and what other motors out of different cars will bolt up to the trans mission that is already in my car.? i can make different mounts and all that i just wanna know what engines will bolt to the transmission..? Thank you

ok questions is what engine will bolt up to my transmission? ik there are alot of cars out there and im curious what engines will bolt up like mayb out of a different car/different brand of car ? that is my question id u dont know thats fine.

You might want to work on your grammer a bit as well.

Realistically? No you can't get an engine from a different car. (other than talon, eclipse, laser) The work required to do something like that is a lot and would take a fat chunk out of your wallet.

As far as upgrading from a 1.8L I'm not sure. I don't have any knowledge in the 1.8L.

I want to thank HIGHPSI4,silver bullit and locke for giving me the info i wanted thank you guys. McFox please never post an answer on any topic i start if youre going to be a smart azz about it i dont like that.White shadow dont post an answer on a topic i start if u think im a noob,Im sorry im not a magician and some how know what engine came in what i came from muscle cars i liked this car figured I would try to build one now everyone has to start some where you were a noob once so don't give me your shit.....Ill probably be banned after this but I want to thank the people who helped me.:rocks:

One more question will the motors from the hyunday other dsm and galant bolt up to the automatic transmission in my car? ty:cool:

I believe that the 4g63 will bolt to your 4g37's transmission, but I cannot seem to find the information to verify that.

The 4G37 does have the same input shaft diameter and spline count as a 4G63 tranny. But I am unsure about the bellhousing. If someone has a 1.8L tranny removed, we could take measurements from the bellhousing and see if it coincides with that of a turbo tranny. If they share the same bell and input shaft, then it will bolt up. But then that brings upon the next question: Is it as reliable and durable as a turbo tranny?

When I get the new engine im hopeing it has a turbo ill just use the whole thing with the turbo ive read all how to do it cant be that hard.Im just hopeing that transmission will bolt up to the 2.0 engine. and with the ecu can i just get that out of the car i get the engine from and hook it up in my car i had sum confusion on this when i was looking at other threads mayb someone can clearify it for me ty

and lets say i dont find a turbo engine and i get a 2.0 will i need the ecu out of the car still?
