What could this tapping be coming from? *VIDEO INSIDE*

Great. ANOTHER problem.

I noticed this noise coming from my car today on the way to school. I installed a new battery last night, and the noise is coming from around the battery somewhere. Its not the motor. I put a long screwdriver to the motor and tranny and tried to listen for it and nothing. Its coming from around the battery or throttle body area. WTF COULD THIS BE

Not sure about the tick . The whistle noise has to be a boost leak around uicp .

tick that like a thumping sound. thats what my car sounded like when it spun a bearing

I agree. A friend of mine spun a bearing on his 93 and it sounded very similar.

the sound goes away and comes back whenever it feels like it. i would think if it was a bearing that it would ALWAYS be there. plus...notice when i rev the car, the sound goes away.

second option is that you broke a piston ring. my 6-bolt did that and the sound would go away and come back and it also knocked but you might be lucky
