brown stuff on BOV, what is it?

Has anyone seen this before? Just curious, maybe signs of something bad? Seems odd. This brownish crusty deposit all over the port to the right. The inside and pipes are clean weird.

looks like someone had put a sealant on there and it dried out maybe.

I agree, I think its some old sealant - -I have seen it on multiple stock bovs that I have removed
