93 GSX - 6bolt swap with stock tranny?

I know with the 2g transmissions the 6-bolt requires some modifcation to bolt up right. What about the 93 transmission? It's the 4-bolt rear, but is the transmission different because the original motor was a 7-bolt? I'm just wondering if I can get away with buying a 6-bolt motor alone and not have to modifiy the tranny for it to fit. thanks.

you should not have to do anything with the tranny. I have a 98 gst with a six bolt swap and I am using the tranny off my 7 bolt. No modifications...

It will bolt up just as easily as your 7bolt.If you can call it easy!
