Stock 92 Laser 4G63T motor, tranny, engine and tranny harness ECU and TCU everything that had to do with the motor went into a 94 Eclipse GS (auto FWD). All items left stock except BCS restrictor removed, stock air cam front 1/3 removed, lower honeycomb and air silencer removed
First drive max 300 yards
Would not go over 2K RPM
Boost leak test found 2 bad hoses-fixed them
Also leak from throttle body
Replace throttle O rings via this page:
http://www.plymouthlaser.com/tbor.htm

Leaks gone holds 12 PSI at least 20 sec, manually released the pressure after 20 sec. Drove same 300 yards SAME PROBLEM
Check TPS according to:
http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/downs/7678/dsmtests.html

Seemed within range also tested old motor in garage consistent results on both.
Read threads on DSM Tuners stated unplug TPS and drive still no passing 2K RPM's
New plugs and wires
plugs-gap . 028 NKGBPR7ES

Car smokes white-not super bad from tailpipe
(Need to do oil change)
No oil in lower inner cooler pipe
No shaft play on turbo, turbo spins freely

Don't know what else to check please help

Also vented BOV to atmosphere momentaraly to insure it was going off. It was and I reconected it.

What do you mean get plugged up?
The only change I made was where the down pipe went into the flex part of the hose, it was broke. I replaced it with 1 of those $5.00 flex pipes from VatoZone. Do you think this is the problem? I was only doing this untill I got a downpipe.

What I mean is, just what I stated. Is it possible that the exhaust is pluged.
Have you ever had a catalitic converter go bad and not be able rev the engine. If it's plug you should hear some whooshing sound when trying to rev up the motor.

I'm just throwing it out there as a possibility.

Ill check that out first thing in the morning cant help to try.
Would the car run if I just unbolted it at the cat?
I know it would be ungodly loud, but just as a way to test it.

Come on Moderators and Oldman you always seem to be able to figure this stuff out. :)

Saw this thread so I replaced Idle switch no change.

Update on today.
Replaced lowe honeycmb, no improvement.
Unbolted downpipe from cat to test for cloged cat, no improvement.
Rechecked connections and its all pluged in.
And I do still have a nonturbo fuel pump.
I planned on changing it (i have the turbo pump ) just havent yet as I have seen some turbo converts have stuck with the nonturbo pump.

So I went back to square 1 and started all over.
Pluged in a non turbo computer and it didnt help.
I went ahead and opened the turbo computer and guess what I found???
COROSION ON THE BOARD!!! I sure hope this fixes it.
You cant see it well but its there.
Would it be worth doing a how to on this??

Ok lets do some basic stuff. timing, Firing order. Vacuum leaks, Boost leaks, Good fuel pressure. Are all Injectors plugged in. ( You can also test to see if there firing by unplugging one one at a time. If the motor runs with no changes. Thats your problem)

Oh and make sure, this is very important. Keep a hammer handy at all times. :)

Firing order is correct
Vacume and boost leakes fixed.
Fp is good
All stuff hooked up.
Caps leaked all over the board (look at pic)
Caps fixed and board rebuilt.
Pluged in the eco started it up slowly crawled to 1k rpms and then let off. Hit gas again and 3500rpms so i let off I THINK I FINALLY GOT IT.

Sorry to bring it back from the dead but.... i finally have some time to mess with the car its been parked since the last post. It hasnt ran in months. I put the turbo tank in (with turbo pump) I just swapped the whole thing. And it still wouldnt pass 2k. I will be devoting the next few days to the car so any help would b great. :beatentodeath: Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
