I got a 2 1/2" custom Downpipe...If i buy the Evo o2 housing would it fit? Also would the evo exhaust manifold a direct bolt-on to my 2g eclipse? would i benefit from it even if i got the stock t25 turbo?

PS: i'm planning to get a bigger turbo in the near future!

The mani will bolt right up. It is going to have a 7cm outlet thought so it will be bigger than the inlet on the T-25. As for the downpipe you should have bolted the EvoIII o2 housing up then got the downpipe made because its at a different angle then the stock o2 housing. you might notice a small difference my guess is almost nothing though. I would wait till you get your turbo then get the manifold and the o2 housing and get the RRE downpipe for the EvoIII housing. Do it all at once it will save some big time headaches. :thumb:

The manifold just bolts on like a stock one but the o2 housing is angled different and also has a differnt sized flange sp your down pipe will have to be modified. If you dont want to modify the down pipe you can port the 2g o2 housing or get a tubular ss housing. You wont see much gain with the T-25 so like said above I would wait until you get a new turbo to install the manifold & o2.

Just to add to what has been said - the Evo III O2 housing is angled differently. With a GSX, the downpipe will probably hit against the transfer case and either make the installation of the downpipe litterally impossible without modifying it, or the downpipe will vibrate against the transfer case really bad because of the angle of the new O2 housing is off. Read this thread for more info.

The exit throat of the Evo III exhaust manifold is significantly larger than an unported 2G exhaust manifold. You may want to consider porting the turbine section of the T-25 a bit.

So basically for now...would it be easier + cheaper porting out the stock o2 housing inlet and outlet as for the DP as well? The DP i have now was customed made so the dude that did the DP did it with slots on the inlet, which means i can play a little bit with the clearance issue with the Evo III O2 housing correct? The DP i have looks like the one on the left.
