pins for the head

I was wondering do our cars need the dow pins or dial pins whatever they are called for the head to line up properly with the block, i got my block all machined and everything and they didnt come with new ones but i bought head studs so i thought that lined it up good enough but now that i got my car running it leaks water out of the number 4 cylinder corner closes to the front of the car, thanks for the help

Dowel pins. Yes, they're required, and any parts shop should have them on hand.

The only things D.S.M put on these car you dont need are p.s,ac,some vaccume lines,a back seat,abs,balance shafts and fwd transmissions.
Remember that and you wont be forgetting something you need.
