after some research i almost have all the info i need, i just want to double check my info.
i will be using mmcd to data log on my lap top. now my question is can i just get a wideband o2 sensor and wire that into the egrt part of the harness and read off that with mmcd or do i need some sort of a translator or something before sending it to the computer? aslo with the stock o2 sensors, can i just pull the front and put the wideband in there and leave the rear?

ill be getting an safc.

my question was simply if i could buy the 50-60 dollar wbo2 sensor and use mmcd to log wbo2 readings instead of dropping 250+ on a wbo2 setup.

and what about location and what narrow o2 sensors need to be kept / scraped

No, you can't just buy the sensor itself, you'll need to get a controller with it that would output the standard 0-5v output that you would monitor. Some widebands also have a narrowband output (0-1v) that would allow you to use that in place of your first O2 sensor but most prefer to weld another bung on their downpipes and use it as another standalone O2 sensor without the ECU ever seeing it.
