Ok, a while back i got ahold of a 1g bov that was extremly filthy, not knowing any better i sprayed it down with greased lightining and rinsed it off with some soapy water to get it clean. Now that i'm about to put it on, i'm wondering if i might have damaged the diaphram? The greased lightining wasent on for too long, and it was rinsed off immediately afterwards. Right now the car is sitting in pieces waiting for a coupler for my dave brode pipe, so i'll know for sure sometime tomorrow, but i would rather not have a really nasty suprise waiting for me.

Ok, got the pipe and bov on, everything seems to be working great. Except now the boost is spiking to the 15-17 psi range and seems to be holding rather strongly. The car is also smoking a bit under boost (black) so i know its running rather rich. Mostly i'm just worried about the boost spike now since I dont have a mbc to tie the boost down.

Boost leak test will be happening tomorrow, luckily i don't have to drive the car for a coupla days
