hello, I have a 94' talon ES, so it's n/t. I'm planing to put 272's on a mild ported head that's been shaved to about .60, all with new valves, seals, guides etc. I also plan on running nitrous with the car, headers, exhaust, and a few other stuff. I've read a lot about DSMlink, but every thread I read it's for turbo cars. Will it work fine on a N/T, or will a Scanmaster be ok? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1G-D...ryZ33596QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem I will be using my laptop, and possibly getting a palm, so please guide me to which would be the best tuning option. Thanks!!

DSMLink will only work on a turbo ECU.
- Can I use DSMLink in my non-turbo DSM?

No. DSMLink is currently only compatible with the turbocharged Eclipses and Talons from '95-'99. We have looked at the non-turbo (Chrysler) ECUs, but have not determined that they are easily reflashable yet. Maybe some day, in the long, distant future, we'll be able to consider that target. It won't be anytime soon, though.
Taken right from dsmlink.com
My suggestion would be to looking into Megasquirt, for the price of DSMLink you get all the sensors, prebuilt ECU, and its fully stand alone. Megasquirt

Honestly, on an N/T, I would put that money to the turbo conversion. If you shop right, you can do so with the price of DSMlink, and be able to run boost. I did the conversion, and honestly feel my 6 yr. old daugter could do it with Mavisky's tech article. Best rout to go.

I would search the N/T forums for info on Megasquirt. Seems to be the choice of N/T guys looking for a good control. Also I would highly advise against 272 cams in a N/T. Some turbo cars don't even need them so you won't even come close to needing them in a N/T. 264's at MOST. You can upgrade your intake cam by using a turbo one. Exhaust cams are the same.

I found a place in PR where they sale the pre-asembled megasquirt 1 for the 1G DSM for about $350, without any harness I think. Is that a good price, or should I be fine with a palm datalogger. I want reliability when I run the nitrous and to monitor my engine while making runs. The car is also my DD to university every day. So, the 272 are not a good option? I can get a pair of 264 for $100, but I was told they're not that different from stock ones. Also I don't want to turbo the car, I want something different so I chose N2o. And thanks for the advices!

So do you want to TUNE your car or data log it? Megasquirt is mainly meant for tuning your car. Scanmaster is only a datalogger.

I would def suggest Megasquirt for your NT.

Why would you do this to a non turbo? Buy a turbo car and spend your money on that instead.
