Ok i got my header on and my muffler, live in florida so i cut out my cat. Question is, I'm running a 4-1 down with no cat to a 3a exhaust. it is just becoming way to loud for me to drive, becoming very annoying so i know i should make my pipes bigger. im only running an intake and a few transistor mods, what would someone recomend switching my exhaust pipe size too? 3" 3.5" 4"??

If its too loud its probably too big.

I don't know what the diameter of the 3a exhaust is but if its 3" try 2.5" or maybe even 2.25"

I would like to see a 420a with a 4" exhaust tho.

since yours is an n/a i would say no bigger than 2.5 max...an exhaust too big will actually hurt performance

I think you're talking about the muffler outlet size.

You shouldn't be thinking about getting 4" exhaust piping...unless of course you did a turbo diesel swap

+1 for a resonator. They really help tone down the pitch of your exhaust, without too much restriction. The hard part is picking one because you won't really know how it will affect the sound.

An exhaust resonator is a restriction, regardless of where it is placed in the exhaust system.
