Has anyone else had their driveshaft come apart from the rear differential???
My car has always vibrated while cruising in the freeway at about 75-80mph...since the day I bought it...never thought much of it...2 years later, my driveshaft and rear differential came apart...The 4 bolts holding them together must have fell or something over time.

FYI: If your car vibrates at high speeds (>65mph), check the rear diff. and make sure all the 4 bolts are there or else what happened to me might happen to you...good thing I was just 2 blocks away from my house...I was only going about 15mph as I shifted to 2nd gear...the last bolt snapped!

I almost had the same thing happen to me, I was on track and at about 120 I got violent vibration, came in, though something was lose, went back out and it got worse and worse and when it started vibrating hard at 60 I gave it up, sat under the car going wwtF!!!!!! playing with stuff, yep my bolts were loose to my driveshaft.....they can come loose, so just check them every 6 months or so.

Definately checking mine in the morning, no vibrations or anything but just in case. Your pretty lucky you weren't on that 2 hour drive, that would have caused some major problems. A few years ago my friend's T/A broke the driveshaft doing 80 mph and it destroyed the underbody of the car broke the exhaust and put a hole in the floor board, and obviously broke the driveshaft. At least you were going slow.
