I have a 95 awd talon and im buying a jdm 7 bolt from tiger japan, and i was wondering if off of the top of anyones head is there any major differences between the us and jdm motor that would cause me having to swap or change anything out? Im just seeing if im gonna run into and little things during the swap that i could be prepared for now?

Stop what you're doing and go for a 6-bolt motor out of the 1g's.

don't know, but i do know that if you're going to swap go for the 6 bolt. they're beefier and stonger.

Whats the big deal on the whole JDM thing. Its a blown up Honda phrase like Vtec. Half of them dont know what makes it good. In Mitsu, JDM and USDM dont matter unless its a tranny from a GVR4. Or a Cyclone Manifold. As far as Internals go on the ENGINE, they are the same if not, neglectible differences. Why shell out the extra cash for the three letters JDM. Tell you what, go to a junk yard, pull out a decent 6bolt from a 1g for 100 bucks, get it machined, Eagle rods, Wiseco pistons, ACL Bearings, and that bottom end will put down more power with a good tune than any "JDM" thing would. And you'll only be $1000 in the hole. And if you cant build one yourself, look into a Buscher Racing engine. It will dominate that JDM junk.:notgood:
