Amount of Vacuum Hose

I am planning on doing the Vacuum hose elimination to clean up under the hood a little and i was wondering if anyone that has done this knows how much to buy? Its sold buy the foot from where I plan on buying it from. Also if you could tell me what size (I am assuming that its 1/8" but not sure) would be much appreciated.

Maybe I'm missing something, but if you are eliminating it why would you need to buy any? If you happened to need some to reroute something, couldn't you just use some you took off something else?

I do recommend replacing all your vacuum hose while you're there though. Get everything eliminated, throw out the stuff you don't need, then take all vacuum hose you're using and line it up end to end. Measure that, buy that much plus a foot more, then cut the new stuff the same length as each old piece or to your preference.

Sorry I must not of been clear on what I am doing I am replacing my vacuum lines with silicion lines because my rubber ones have about seen their last day (cracked, worn, ect.). That is why i am doing the it maybe to stop some leaks that I have also. And one reason why I was hoping someone might have an idea of how many feet is because its my only car and I have to order it online so I cant really have the down time.

why not just remove everything, you lose chance of leaks and itll give your engine bay a cleaner look!

Yeah I know that is what I plan to do. I have that page bookmarked already. That was my question how much do I need with the lines I am going to put back on! I think that i am just going to order like 15 feet or so and if I have extra oh well. I was just wondering if anyone has ever been in this boat before that could throw out a number is all.

I just re-did all my vacuum hoses a few months ago and I used about 18 ft give or take a ft just to be safe. That covered all emissions equipment, boost controller lines, and anything else that had vacuum lines. Hope that helps.

Yeah, I just replaced them all and kept my emissions stuff in so I don't fail inspection.

This is from Road Race Engineering, it's a kit for your 1g or 2g to replace all the vacuum hoses and in any color you'd like.
