I'm probably gonna end up buying a 93 eclipse gsx in a few days. It has 167*** miles on it and I was planning on just building up that engine, but then I decided it might just be better to swap in a 6 bolt THEN build up the engine. So my question is.....I see alot of sites that that have 7 bolt to 6 bolt swap kits....but they're only for the 95-99s. Does this mean that I don't need anything to swap a 6 bolt into this 93? And do you guys think I should swap in the 6 bolt or revert back to my old plan of just building up the 93 7 bolt engine?

1g to another 1g then you should just need a 6-bolt flywheel... everything else will bolt up. -Did the 6-bolt conversion on my 94, but mine's an AT and everything was the same except for the 6 vs 7 bolt flexplate. -The 6-bolt Flywheel should be the only thing you really need.

as long as you keep AWD-AWD or FWD-FWD, they should... The AWDs need the same final drive ratio as in the rear end... you might want to research the MT AWD vs FWD, as I think they use different diameter axles in the front though... Also, the axles will be different if going from an ABS vs Non-ABS car.

I hear alot of talk about switching around spark plug wiring or something like that.....is that only when swapping a 6 bolt into a 2nd gen or do I have to worry about it also?

The ABS axles and non ABS axles are the same in every way except for the ABS ring. All you have to do to use a ABS axle in a non ABS car is knock off the ABS ring or just install it with the ring on. A lot of the time you dont have to take the ring off because it doesnt interfere with anything.
Just helpful knowledge that I learned myself about a year ago. :thumb:

That's funny... If that was true, then why does WorldPAC list them with two different part numbers? -As far as 1Gs are concerned, the "ABS Ring" is actually built into the hub assembly and NOT on the axles themselves. -That's actually a Honda thing.
Furthermore, why would trusted vendors (like IPT) list multiple LSDs for the different applications, as seen here:

...FWD vs AWD, and MT vs AT, early vs late, smal vs large... THEY CAN use different axles (well, more precisely, axle shaft sized axles on the inboard end).
