While pulling off one of the connector boots for my SBR coil on plug the boot ripped in half. So i tried calling SBR and from one guy told me that the coils they use are the 300m ones and he didn't know about the boots and another guy said it was all a secret and couldn't tell me.

Has anyone replaced one of the rubber boots yet? If so, what car does it originally come from? I tried using the information listed below that i found on another forum, but the toyota dealor said that the part number listed for connector housing (90980-11246) was just an electrical connector.
parts:

"Chrysler:
2000, 3.5l ,300M coil: http://www.chryslerpartsdirect.com/ (4 required)

Toyota:
Connector housing: p/n 90980-11246 (4 required)
Connector wires: p/n 82998-12440 (8 required - I believe the package contains 10)"

So where can i buy a new boot for my "secret" coil on plug setup? What car did it come from originally? What year? What engine? etc? and is there a part number i can give a dealor somewhere?

my guess would be that any cop boot would work if you just trimmed it to length. I'd go to a parts place or dealer and have them pull a few until you find one that looks close.

I was going to do that in the morning. I just wanted to see if someone had the info of the ones i got. Ill update if i find one that works with a part number!

i did, they said that they don't make them in house and they didn't know if they could get me a spare. Im thinking about calling buschur.

went to autozone today and i found a match! Its a Duralast P/N CP005. I have yet to installed them, but they look identical to the ones that came with my sloyboy COP. The only difference is that its about 1 centimeter longer, however after looking the original ones closer, it appears as if they were also cut. The cost was 9.99 a peice. I will update this again after installed to let you know if they work fine (i don't see why they wouldn't work). I am pretty sure that the boots and coils are from a 300m 3.5 engine, however i think they use different springs (that are shorter) due to the cm difference. Hope this helps anyone making their own

i had used some, but i guess not enought cause that sucker was on there good, the reason it ripped on its was out. hopefully the info provided above could help with someone making their own COP... I still think the spring is different though

no problem. They work fine, just had to cut alittle more than a CM off. The spring is different though (not sure what it comes off of). So the slowboy COP setup consists of 300m coils (from the 3.5 engine) and i beleive the boots are also from 300m (just use the duralast part number like i did). maybe the springs are the toyota ones they mention in the other site, however the toyota part number for the rubber boots were not correct.
