6 bolt swap - which Ignition Coil ?

I don't think it matters as long as it's not a '90 coil. I'd use the coil that fits whatever intake I was using. That would seem to be the easiest thing since you wouldn't have to make any kind of brackets.

I used my 2g coil pack... I just cut the bracket and shoved it in. I didn't want to deal with splicing wires.

you can use either coil pack makes no difference. if you have your 2g coil pack handy it will work fine the problem is that it wont mount on the 1 intake manifold. obviously the 1g coil pack will mount up nice but if you don't have one handy i would just make a mount.

i mounted my 2g pack above the drivers side motor mount and it came out really nice just made up some L brackets to bolt it to and threw it on. it took me maybe 15 mins and i looks great. if you want i can get a pic of it cause i have the day off:D just keep in mind if you are relocating the coil pack you will need new plug wires to fit. i made mine from a do it your self kit from pepboys, it worked great and was very easy.

either way remember you have to swap your plug wires as Burnett03 stated. or you can leave your plug wires as they are and just take the plastic caps off the back of the two packs and swap the two wires on the back of each pack (take the 2 wires off the back of 1st pack and swap them with the 2 wires off the back of the 2nd pack). if you do the proper rewire it looks much nicer and will confuse less mechanics ..

I would like to see the pic too. I have the 1g coilpack, but in case that ever goes I still have the 2g.

Guess you never got around to posting that pic... ;) so I need to make a longer harness if I want to keep the location and brackets for the 6 bolt swap?
