You can do it but it would be a ### of your money and resources. It would not gain any significant hp if any at all unless you are going to turbo your n/t. You might save your money and get a nitrous kit or something. Good luck, Keith.
 
yeah on a non turob motor the mass airflow sensor is not really a restriction and not worth upgrading. there would be other places that money could be spent and you will get better performace results :)
 
It would help with tuning the car, especially since they run so rich from the factory. You could swap in some turbo cams, maybe even some 264's, and be able to tune with that. Like the other guy said, if you go with nitrous, you're going to need a bigger fuel pump, and you will need to tune that down....which can be done with the translator.
 
He means putting a MAF-T into an NA, not 'tuning down' an aftermarket pump with a MAF-T.
You can compensate for overrun, but you're still going to idle like s**t. There is NO substitute for a part designed to cope with a given performance level, and half-assing it will ALWAYS come back to bite you.
