I had this crazy idea last night and wondered if anyone has tried this or if it would even work. Take a 2G mas and use silicone reducer/adapters to change its placement from stock position to place it instead inline into the upper intercooler pipe after the bov. This would give those who want a blow-thru setup (in theory) a way to vent the bov, clean up the engine bay. Also if you have a front-mount IC you could run a straight intake through the fenderwell to where the side mount was for a true could air intake.

The big question to the wise men here: is this possible?

I have been thinking about this too, Or wondering if it's possible to take the center part out and put it in a rounded maf tube so can easily relocate it.

No... it's not possible. Stock DSM MAFs (Karman vortex types) cannot be used in a blow-thru configuration -- only a draw-thru configuration. It has to do with the internal workings of the MAF and the principles on which they're fundamentally designed. No amount of modification can change that.

The stock 2G MAS is made to use pre-turbo in a non-pressurized system, not post-turbo with 15-25psi of air going through it, it won't work and will most probably leak. Try a search - this has been mentioned many times.

A few members have made intakes that have 'ports' to suck air through the fenderwell to the intake to get a cold air setup, but then you have to worry about rain and water. Check the Tech Guide there's a article about a cold air intake.
