i just rebuilt my motor and transmission and i have finally worked out all the little bugs, now i am starting to notice that the act clutch i installed doesn't have a very heavy pedal... i drove my friends gst with a stock clutch and the pedal was much harder to depress than mine... this really confuses me i bought the clutch off of a friend so im not really sure the exact model but it is the full disc, sprung design.

i have not tried any launches yet because im still breaking everything in. however from day to day driving it doesn't seem like it would grab hard if i wanted it to... anybody have any suggestions and answers as to why it feels like this.

i had an exedy street clutch in one of my subarus before and it was much stiffer than this...

Your clutch may be slipping bro. I have the same issue in my car. ACT 2100 should hold, but it doesnt. Once you get it broken in and you hit WOT if the RPM's shoot up and you dont go anywhere then its your clutch slipping. I have like 8k on my clutch and there is no reason why it should be bad, but it is.

Your master cyl could be bad or going bad. Check the slave cyl for leaks too while you are at it. My car had an aftermarket master cyl which died in about 20k.
