Montreal,
hey guys my mechanic just installed my 57 trim turbo, and when i got home the fan was making a loud noise, i checked and the internal wastegate is hitting the fan.

hes now telling me I have to go external wastegate, but what i dont understand is that it fit before. I am wondering if its his fault for not clocking the turbo properly.

o and i get 0 psi on top of all that..

any input will help

After clocking the turbo everythin fit fine, but of course we had to drop the turbo since the wastegate flapper was getting stuck when shutting. So we welded it cause it was moving way too much.

After all that work, the car still didnt produce boost, we removed intake pipe and the wheel doesnt spin. I believe I have the worse luck in DSM history..

wow, your turbo seized? Did you have oil going to it? what type of 57 trim was it?
yes oil was going through it, i think it might be stuck on the compressor side, we still arent sure, we will have to drop it and remove it again.

i really hope nothing got damaged :(
