Ok when i first installed my Evo 3 16G, i took it out and the wastegate would start opening before i even reached 5psi. Now this wasnt just fully opening and bypassing all the exhuast it would like flutter open and shut. I thought it was my Gready Boost Controler..But know the wastegate is open at idle is this normal?? The reason i know its opening is bc i N/A the wastegate. Any information would be of help.. the only effect to my car i can tell is alittle more lag but still not much at all..

I didn't understand that sentence as well. If you have a mity vac you can test the wastegate spring to see what psi it is opening up at. Or just do as delta448 said and connect directly from your boost source to your wastegate. You may need a new actuator.

Welcome to shimming your wastegate. It needs to be shimmed. My 14b does the same thing and it sucks. I can hear it open through my O2 dump. Now it still opens but spools at 3k but I creep like no ther past 5k because the shimming it keeps it from opening all the way. It does this with 2 different actuators. I need help.

Ok sorry for the confusion, what i ment is my o2 dump is not connected with my down pipe..it just goes to the side of the car with its own pipe....but as of right now when i go out and start the car i can hear as well walk to the front and put my hand on the wastegate pipe and feel the exhaust coming out..so its almost like the wastegate might be stuck open...
