OK background: I let friend borrow car He bent my valves. No Block or piston problems barly nicked piston... Took Head to machine shop got work done.

the prob: After reinstalling everything im 99% sure i got the timing right and when marks are lined up cylindar 1 is TDC.. OK HERES THE DEAL WHen i start the car it starts up like a champ.. but once it gets to the normal idle spot it dies like 3-5 secs after it starts its not a sputter dieing its like as if i shut the engine off with key. once in when i started it it ran for about 2 min then i tried to give it little gas it choked out and died..

Idk what it could be i checked the forums and tried few things that sounded around my prob but nothing.. is there something i coulda missed to do? or check? please help me out

Is the car stock? If it's modded, list your mods. Double check your fuel pressure, TPS, throttle body, and check for boost leaks.

It would have to be a bad one. (Like a pipe totally not connected.) Double checking the maf connection is a good idea. I didn't think of that.

Ok well i checked mas and everything, how i check for bad TPS? and on the exhaust manifold where it bolts to the turbo im missing a bolt which i forgot causeit stripped out could that be a big enough leak if its leaking at all the other 3 bolts are in and tight.

Check you throttle body again. Make sure you don't have a plug not plugged up. Check the wiring harness good to make sure you didn't miss a plug.

OK update i reset the code and started the car started right up then when was idling was idling not normal. and alot of motor shake. and alot of gas smell is this all cause of bad CAS? car stayed running till i turned it off and tried to restart it then it pulled the P0340 code again but not till i turned it off and back on. thanks for any input

ok well anyways considering that you have a IAC sensor i would check that considering that everyone forgot to tell you that the IAC IS THE CHOKE of your car

Also touch the pipe coming from your EGR valve, if it burns you then guess what your EGR is stuck causing you to run like crap

and here this if for you, i have alldata

I would start looking for a new CAS. Sounds like yours might be on the way out. Glad to hear you got it going. Good luck getting it home.
