I just bought a 1992 Eclipse GSX for $905. It has a bad engine block but comes with a new one that is bored .020 over, balanced shafts removed, rods shotpeened and polished, entire rotating assembly was balanced, the deck was leveled, ARP rod bolts and main studs were installed<-(please explain what this stuff means and if its good or bad?) The subframe has PRO-THANE bushings and a new manual steering rack was installed.<-(does that mean it has no power stearing?) The car was also converted to non-abs. A new proportioning valve and lines were installed.<-(whats that?) New "dark shadow gray" paint job. The engine is out and the car is in parts so ill have to put it back together and i have to drive about 3-4 hours to get it. Its going to be my daily driver and weekend racer. I plan on going to about "stage 2" in proformance. I also want to get the full "drift" body kit and a wing. I also have a 1991 Eclipse GST that im going to use for parts. My questions. 1. Is it true that automatic GSXs have smaller turbos/injectors, if this is true what else is different. 2. If 1. is true can i take the stuff from my GST and switch it to the GSX? 3. How hard would it be to make a auto GSX a manual GSX? 4. What do you think about the GSX, the things done to it, and my plans?

umm not to sound like a dick but if you dont know that a fresh motor and bearings etc is good or not, or if you dont know what going from abs to non abs means. Do you really think you can put a whole car back together proper? Again just asking a simple question you should read and research.

Just to make your learning curve a little easier, yes it's true that the auto has a smaller turbo. Same hot side with smaller compressor. Do yourself a favor and keep the auto. The transmissions are stout and it'll be plenty quick with mods.

Like said before all of the stuff that was done to the engine is good.
And having a manual rack means that you dont have power steering.
Eliminating the ABS system just means that you no longer have ABS.

Im going to pick it up probably monday, Ill update everyone and post some pictures.
