so i have a brand new motor, 300 miles on it, i get home from school today and decide to wire in my AEM wideband & AVC-R boost controller. i get the Wideband all done, take it for a drive, drives good. come back to finish up the AVC-R wiring. i do that, go to start the car, i back it out of my driveway, and all the sudden i hear a loud SNAP !

i looked over the engine and saw nothing wrong. cam timing was dead on . so i try and start it and it runs. id say the crankshaft itself was about maybbeeeee 5-8 degree after tdc off. so i get it back to my house and pull the timing cover off and see that the oil pump pulley split in 2. :( Oil pump spins freely by hand, i have a BSEK

why would this happen ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
