Okay because I almost always broke a went ahead and bought a burn1 eprom burner and a reflashable chip. Now I have experience with hex but I was just wondering if there is anyone here who is pretty good at this to give me some pointers. also I will be using tuner pro( from moates.com) in which you give the program ecu definitions and you wont have to use write in hex code. Later i'll be upgrading to an ostrich emulator and tunerpro RT. so any tips from people with experience burning chips????

Cool another Tunerpro'er:) . I am trying to find a logger before i can begin tuning, tunerpro doesnt have the ability to log information, it can only edit it. SO if you dont have a logger get one before you try and tune it. I am going the same route, I have an Ostrich and Burn1 with TunerPro R/T. It is a very good program, I will let you know my results after my tune.

TIP: Buy a ZIF socket ($10) from Moates.net and have him install. This socket allows you to safely remove and install chips without damaging the chip or your socket...very nice!! It is very usful with the Ostrich since you will always be plugging and unplugging it.

Also, He does the socketing for $25!!! And he replaced my Capacitors in my ECU for FREE!! Great guy and does wonderful work. Highly reccomened.
