MY 95 gs-t sumtimes gets the most weirdest idling. After my car is warmed up after five minutes, my idle is normally under 1000 rpm but sometimes after I been drivin for a while the idle jumps around to about 1500 rpm. I notice it usually happens on a hot day and I been driving a lot. When Im in gear and then put it in neutral the rpm jumps below 1000 rpm then bounces up quickly to 1500 and sometimes goes back down to 1000 after I push my throttle body.

are you running your ac at all? Most of the time rpm jump is because a fan clicks on and the altenator jumps the rpms up because there is extra load on the motor. Try to lower the idle also..1000 rpms is alittle high 750-850 should do.

I thought of the a/c solution too but it wasnt it. It happens out of no where and usually it does idle at 750 but I have no idea.
