Hey guys, i know some will think i'm beating a dead horse, but the thing is i haven't found no useful info in the forums aside from the fact that the best coilovers for a 1g are megan's, tein's, and lastly k sport or d2, oh forgot about the GC Koni combo.

Thing is, it is my daily driver so i'd like my ride to be a little comfortable at least(not cadillac smooth but a little smooth ROFL ) and also cost, i be willing to spend up to $800 or lower on a coilover set, but i haven't found the tein's for a FWD 1g anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction with this? Any help with making the choice is welcome and very appreaciated.

1. Best bang for the buck
2. Finding a dealer for the part
3. Personal opinions on the part of their liking

These are the 3 criterias i'd appreaciate your expertise.
Thanks again

Hey Jorge4g63, i'm running a fwd 1g as well and i use the Eibach Pro Series for my DD and i love them!!! Has a great stance to it and rides very nice! They are also pretty cheap as well too as i noticed you were looking for some cheaper ones. :) Hope i helped

Quick question:

I was checking out the tein super street coilover set, but they are available only for the 1g AWD, being that i own a FWD my question is since they are fully adjustable, can i mount them on my FWD 1g and set it for a FWD? I am fully aware that the difference between both models is the weight of the car, please somebody with experience point me in the right direction since i know tein is a great product and many of you have tried it.

Also i know that with conventional springs it is not wise to mount AWD springs on FWD or vice versa, but since this is an adjustable coilover system, perhaps there would not be a noticeable difference.

Please let me know.

Thanks again for the help guys

You are right, putting "AWD" springs on a FWD will set the rear of your car up higher due to the AWD having more weight in the rear from the factory.

I know you can set the height to look right with coilovers, but Im pretty sure the spring rates are different from AWD to FWD. Im sure on the higher end coilovers they are which in turn, puttin AWD coilovers on your FWD and setting them lower would have the rear riding rougher than just putting lower spring rates from a FWD setup on.

Whew.

Thaks for clearing that up absolute dsm, i guess ground control + konis are the way to go.

Anyone tried this combo, or have any more ideas, feel a little lost on this. ROFL
