Sad to be writing this but my DSM is badly damaged after an encounter with a deer on the back roads. Damage is fairly extensive and includes hood, bumper, fender, driver side mirrior, and door.

I was wondering how easy it would be to obtain the parts needed to make the repair and where to find them. Also, does anyone know of high-quality aftermarket headlights for a 2g? Because this may have been avoided with better headlights.

That sucks about your car man!
As stated above a junkyard/body shop can be your best friend. I would look on ebay for some halo projectors, and then maybe some HID bulbs to go with that. Even the 55w hyper white bulbs I had in my old RS were good enough to cover the entire road. I got those for
$12 plus shipping.
If it makes you feel any better im a deer hunter and shoot deer so this problem doesnt happen to more people. (even though that probably doesnt help, LOL)

Pics of the damage? If its all body work in the front, it can all be replaced/fixed. You live on the east coast and lots of DSMs are out there. Check out the classifieds and DSMtrader for cars that are being parted out. Its not as expensive as you think for that.

Diablos is right though, a close buddy at a body shop is gonna be your best friend. The prep and paint of the front of the car could be costly.

I had a woman pull out in front of me and had pretty much the same damage you did. The cost of everything (parts, paint, labor) was about $1200. That includes a headlight and foglight.

As for aftermarket headlights - Look for at least Silvia headlights or go as far as actually HID retro lighting from a Acura or BMW.
